45° corner mount — straight-out beam, no routing required

The YD-2570 is the 45° corner-mount variant of the Mini series. The cross-section is a 45° right-angle wedge: two 9 mm legs sit flush against the two perpendicular surfaces of any 90° inside corner, and the 12.6 mm diagonal face (√(9² + 9²) ≈ 12.7 mm) is the exposed light-emitting surface. The 4.8 mm internal LED channel sits parallel to the hypotenuse, so the beam exits perpendicular to the diagonal face — straight outward from the corner at 45° from horizontal. This is a symmetric beam, not an asymmetric wall-grazer.

Where the YD-2567, YD-2568 and YD-2569 all use a 30° rotated internal channel to wash a wall asymmetrically, the YD-2570 keeps the channel parallel to the diagonal face so the beam fires straight out. The result is a clean diagonal wash that reads as indirect uplight, cove lighting, or under-cabinet accent — applications where the fixture stays hidden in the corner and the room sees only the wash of light, not the LED. The 45° outward direction means the beam hits neither of the two surfaces it sits in; it goes straight into the room.

No routing is required. The two 9 mm legs are screwed directly to their respective surfaces (typically wall/ceiling, wall/wall, or stair-tread/stair-riser). The legs are mechanically independent — each is screwed to its own surface — so the two surfaces do not need to be flush with each other. The wedge bridges the corner.

The YD-2570 uses the same triple optical configuration as the YD-2565 / YD-2566 / YD-2567 / YD-2568 / YD-2569 / YD-2575 — PC diffuser, reflector cup + lens, or reflector cup + black cover. All three optical modes are 100 mm modular, so a single accessory range covers the entire Mini series, and the same dual LED source (flexible COB tape or CSP1208 rigid strip) applies. The PC diffuser mode is the most common choice for corner indirect lighting, while the reflector cup + black cover mode gives the deepest anti-glare reading for architectural showcase applications.

  • 9 × 9 mm 45° right-angle wedge — two 9 mm legs sit in any 90° inside corner; only the 12.6 mm diagonal face is visible.
  • 45° straight-out beam — channel parallel to hypotenuse, beam exits perpendicular to the diagonal face straight outward.
  • Symmetric, not asymmetric — unlike 30° wall-grazing profiles, the 45° outward beam hits neither surface — it goes straight into the room.
  • Surface corner mount — no routing — screws directly to both surfaces; the wedge bridges the corner.
  • Triple optical configuration — PC diffuser / reflector cup + lens / reflector cup + black cover. 100 mm modular accessories.
  • Dual LED compatibility — flexible COB / SMD tape for the PC diffuser; CSP1208 rigid strip for the cup / lens / cover.
  • Cut to length, no MOQ — supplied in 2 m stock, cut to size on request.

Two LED modes — pick the right one before ordering

The YD-2570 supports two LED sources that determine which optical accessory you can use. Flexible COB tape and CSP1208 rigid strip cannot be mixed on the same cup. Pick one mode before you spec accessories.

Mode A — PC diffuser

Flexible COB / SMD tape

  • LED tape ≤ 4.7 mm wide (3 mm / 4 mm COB recommended)
  • PC diffuser — Clear, Frosted or Opal
  • Soft dot-free line, low cost
  • Not compatible with reflector cup / lens / black cover
Mode B — Reflector cup

CSP1208 rigid LED strip

  • CSP1208 chip · 100 mm length · 14 beads / segment
  • Square PC electrode, electroplated finish
  • Pair with optical lens (narrow accent) or black PC cover (deep anti-glare UGR < 19)
  • 100 mm modular — 10 segments per metre

Ordering tip: if you spec accessories first, lock in the LED source at the same time. Quote the rigid strip count (× 100 mm segments) together with the cup + lens/cover count to avoid mismatched shipments.

Three optical configurations from one profile

Same aluminium body, three optical outcomes. From soft diffuse line (Mode A) to premium anti-glare (Mode B). The YD-2570 shares this triple optical configuration with the YD-2565, YD-2566, YD-2567, YD-2568, YD-2569 and YD-2575 — so the same accessory SKUs cover the whole Mini series.

YD-2570 three optical configurations side by side: profile with PC diffuse,, profile with frosted diffuser covering LEDs, bare LED rigid strip before diffuser installed
Left to right: profile with PC diffuser (dot-free line) · same profile with LEDs visible through frosted diffuser · bare LED rigid strip before diffuser install. The 9 × 9 mm 45° wedge cross-section is consistent across all three. The same PC diffuser, cup, lens and black-cover modules fit YD-2570 and the rest of the Mini series.

The 45° straight-out beam — symmetric, not asymmetric

The internal 4.8 mm LED channel sits parallel to the 12.6 mm hypotenuse, so the beam exits perpendicular to the diagonal face — straight outward from the corner at 45° from horizontal. Unlike the 30° asymmetric wall-grazing geometry of the YD-2567, YD-2568 and YD-2569 (which bias the beam toward one of the two surfaces), this is a symmetric 45° outward beam. The beam hits neither of the two surfaces it sits in; it goes straight into the room. The fixture stays hidden in the corner; the room sees only the diagonal wash of light, not the LED.

YD-2570 corner mount installation: 45° wedge profile at the wall-ceiling corner, beam fires straight outward into the room from the corner
Corner mount installation: the 9 × 9 mm 45° wedge sits at the wall-ceiling corner, the two 9 mm legs are screwed to the wall and ceiling, and the 45° beam fires straight outward into the room from the corner. Only the 12.6 mm diagonal face is visible from the room.

Surface corner installation — two screws, no routing

Place the YD-2570 at the inside corner where two 90° surfaces meet. Screw through the 9 mm top leg into one surface (e.g. ceiling, stair tread, shelf top). Screw through the 9 mm side leg into the other (e.g. wall, stair riser, side cabinet panel). The 12.6 mm diagonal face is the only visible part. No routing, no slot, no surface removal — the wedge becomes a structural member of the joinery. Optional metal clips (with screw holes) can be added for ceiling installations or any application where vibration or accidental contact might displace the profile.

Frequently asked questions

What LED source does the YD-2570 accept?

Two distinct modes: (a) flexible COB / SMD tape up to 4.7 mm wide for the standard PC diffuser (Clear / Frosted / Opal); (b) CSP1208 rigid LED strip, 100 mm length, 14 beads per segment, for the reflector-cup / lens / black-cover options. The two modes cannot be mixed on the same cup — flexible strip does not fit the cup/lens/cover accessories.

What surfaces can the YD-2570 mount to?

Any 90° inside corner. The two 9 mm legs of the wedge fit against the two perpendicular surfaces — typically wall/ceiling, wall/wall, stair-tread/stair-riser, or cabinet soffit/wall. Both legs are screwed directly to their respective surface (wood, plywood, MDF, plasterboard, metal framing, or thin stone with appropriate anchors). No routing or slot is required, and the two surfaces do not need to be flush with each other — each leg is screwed to its own surface and the 12.6 mm diagonal face bridges the corner. The 45° beam fires straight outward from the corner, making the YD-2570 ideal for ceiling cove uplight, under-cabinet indirect, and corner accent lighting — applications where you want the fixture hidden in the corner and the light to read as a diagonal wash straight into the room.

How do I choose between YD-2565, YD-2566, YD-2567, YD-2568, YD-2569, YD-2570 and YD-2575?

YD-2565 is the entry-level mini profile — 7 × 8 mm, surface mounting or magnetic mounting, fastest install. YD-2566 is the recessed variant of YD-2565 — same 7 × 8 mm body but with a 9 mm top flange, designed to drop into a routed slot for a fully flush look (straight down beam, no baffle). YD-2567 is the wall-grazing surface-mount option — 9 × 9 mm square body with a 30° angled internal channel; the profile hangs below the mounting surface, held by metal clips. YD-2568 is the recessed wall-grazing option for ceilings and coves — 9 × 8 mm body with an 11 mm bottom flange, designed to drop into a routed slot for a fully flush look with the 30° angled beam washing the upper wall. YD-2569 is the recessed shelf-light option with anti-glare baffle — 9 × 8 mm body with an 11 mm flange and a 13 mm baffle that mechanically hides the LED ('see light, not see the lamp'), designed for under-shelf, in-step or in-cove installation where the LED must be shielded from direct view. YD-2570 is the 45° corner-mount option — 9 × 9 mm 45° right-angle wedge with a 12.6 mm hypotenuse; the 4.8 mm LED channel sits parallel to the diagonal face so the beam exits at 45° straight outward from any 90° inside corner — the two 9 mm legs are screwed to the surfaces, no routing. YD-2575 is the larger advanced option — 8.6 × 7.3 mm with three mounting modes (surface / wall-lamp / 180° adjustable rotation). All seven share the same triple optical configuration (PC diffuser / reflector cup + lens / reflector cup + black cover) and 100 mm modular accessories.

What is the 45° beam angle used for?

The 4.8 mm internal LED channel sits parallel to the 12.6 mm hypotenuse, so the beam exits perpendicular to the diagonal face — i.e. straight outward from the corner at 45° from horizontal. Unlike the 30° asymmetric wall-grazing geometry of YD-2567 / YD-2568 / YD-2569, this is a symmetric straight-out beam — neither biased toward one surface nor the other. Install the YD-2570 at the inside corner where a wall meets the ceiling (or where two walls meet, or stair tread meets riser), and the beam fires diagonally outward into the room — perfect for ceiling cove uplight, under-cabinet indirect wash, and corner accent lighting. Because YD-2570 is surface corner-mounted, the 12.6 mm diagonal face is the only visible part of the profile; the two 9 mm legs disappear into the corner.

Minimum cut length and tolerance?

Cut to any length; standard tolerance ±0.5 mm. Tighter tolerances available on request.

What is included in the accessories kit?

Two end caps (one with cable hole for power feed-through, one closed) per metre of profile. Optional metal mounting clips (with screw holes) are supplied on request — recommended for ceiling installations and any application where vibration or accidental contact might displace the profile. The reflector cup, lens and black cover are quoted separately, priced per 100 mm module — same SKUs as YD-2565, YD-2566, YD-2567, YD-2568, YD-2569 and YD-2575.
